MEET OUR CATARACT SPECIALISTS

Kevin Kaufman, MD, PhD, has over 25 years of ophthalmology experience. He trained at some of the world’s foremost institutions for ophthalmologists, including the Medical School at University of Pennsylvania, Charles University in Prague and Harvard’s Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. Dr. Kaufman specializes in diseases and surgery of the anterior segment of the eye with an emphasis on micro incision cataract and minimally-invasive glaucoma surgery with intraocular lens implantation.

Daniel Schwartz, MD, specializes in refractive cataract surgery and offers the most modern techniques and intraocular lenses currently available. He is a respected cornea specialist and general ophthalmologist who has expertise in the management of dry eyes as well. He received his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. He completed his ophthalmology fellowship program at the in Cornea and External Disease at Tufts University.

WHAT OUR PATIENTS ARE SAYING

Had cataract surgery for both eyes, including correction for astigmatism (an additional $1,600 for each eye.) I now have 20/20 vision in both eyes (3 feet out to infinity), and holding my phone at arms length, I can read it. Though I usually wear readers (1.50 diopters.) The doc was great (Kaufman) as was the surgical staff.

Six years ago Dr. Kaufman saved my eye! He opened his office at night to see me even though I was not yet a patient. Then he had me come back first thing the next morning to check on my eye. I had cataract surgery performed by Boston Eye Physicians. I was treated fantastically by the doctors and staff. The procedure for LAL is a 3 month long procedure and it critically important to trust the doctors and medical staff. In this regard, I highly recommend these guys and cataract surgery in general. I wish I had the procedure a year earlier.

I am a guy legally blind in one eye and needed a +11 lens in my other eye. Needless to say cataract surgery was a huge concern.
